About Digital Radiography
X-rays may be recommended for your veterinarian to help diagnose the cause of the following symptoms:

-
Abdominal enlargement (pregnancy, organomegaly, ascites, etc.)
-
Heart murmurs (heart enlargement, heartworm disease, etc.)
-
Limping (causes could include fractures, torn ligaments, arthritis, neoplasia, etc.)
-
Respiratory issues/trouble breathing (pneumonia, bronchitis, effusion, congestive heart failure etc.)
-
Urination issues (bladder stones etc.)
-
Vomiting and diarrhea (intestinal blockages, abdominal tumors, gastroenteritis etc.)
The imaging procedure is typically painless, requires perfect positioning, and can be performed on calm and cooperative pets without sedation. We may recommend a sedative or general anesthesia if your pet is painful or very stressed.
